On 1st April 2024, MIMA received a courtesy visit from PTPTN to delve deeper into understanding the demand for jobs in the Malaysia maritime industries. MIMA was led by Prof. Ts. Dr. Mohamad Rosni, Director-General, accompanied by the Director of Research and representatives from each center. On the other hand, PTPTN was represented by Puan Mastura Mohd Khalid, Chief Operating Officer, along with six senior managers from the Policy Department and the Operations Branch.
The meeting delved into the Hala Tuju/ Keperluan Pasaran Pekerjaan dalam Bidang Maritim, providing PTPTN with a deeper understanding to facilitate the determination of loan allocations for individuals pursuing studies in maritime fields. Cik Mazlinawati Abdul Majid, a researcher from the Center for Maritime Economics and Industries, presented this direction. The outcome of this meeting was highly positive in terms of fostering and producing experts in the recognised maritime field.
