MOT recommissioned MIMA to conduct further research on the bunkering industry in Malaysia through the Centre for Maritime Economics and Industries (CMEI). The Technical Committee Meeting took place on 21 October 2021 at Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur and was inaugurated by YBhg. Datuk Dr Sabirin Ja’afar, Director General of MIMA.
The objective of this meeting was to hear from stakeholders and gather information for research titled “Reassessment on Issues and Prospects of the Bunkering Industry in Malaysia Year 2021.” A highly informative discussion was held to assist the bunkering industry with the issues raised by the players.
Cdr Ang Chin Hup (R ) chaired the meeting as a Project Leader and was accompanied by team members Encik Ahmad Puteh, Mazlinawati Abdul Majid, Nurul Atiqah Rosnan, Nurfatin Wahida Puspa, Muhamad Dom Din, and Norlina Mohammad Shah.
