On 11 December 2025, the Centre for Maritime Security and Diplomacy (MSD), MIMA, hosted a technical talk on “Geospatial Aspects of Maritime Boundary Delimitation” by Dr. I Made Andi Arsana, Lecturer and Researcher from Universitas Gadjah Mada, Indonesia.
The session opened with welcoming remarks by MIMA Director General, YBhg. Dato’ Monaliza binti Suhaimi, followed by an introduction by Dr. Sumathy Permal, Head of Maritime Security and Diplomacy. Dr. Arsana then shared expert insights on geospatial approaches to maritime boundary delimitation and their importance in advancing regional maritime governance.
The discussion provided valuable perspectives that contribute to MIMA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen evidence-based maritime policy and maritime security discourse.
