The Maritime Institute of Malaysia (MIMA) participated in the 3rd ASEAN Blue Economy Forum, held on 29 September 2025 in Sabah, which brought together policymakers, industry leaders, researchers, and development partners to advance ASEAN’s Blue Economy agenda.
The forum focused on sustainable maritime economy, ocean governance, blue finance, marine resource management, and maritime innovation, underscoring the importance of regional cooperation towards a resilient and inclusive maritime economic future.
Represented by Ms. Mazlinawati Abdul Majid and Ms. Fatin Anis Azzahra Kamarudin, MIMA put forth its commitment to strengthening leadership and knowledge in the Blue Economy dialogue.
As Malaysia’s maritime think tank, MIMA places the highest priority on advancing the maritime economy, recognising it as a key pillar for national prosperity, environmental sustainability, and regional integration.
