On 26 October 2021, located at Le Meridien, Putrajaya, the Steering Committee Meeting for Bunkering Industry in Malaysia took place after the Technical Committee Meeting to connect with certain government agencies and address issues raised by the players. This is to obtain input and responses from the ministry’s and port authorities’ representatives.
Puan Norhasliza Mat Saleh, Deputy Secretary Under Maritime Division, Ministry of Transport (MOT), officiated the meeting. YBhg. Datuk Dr Sabirin Ja’afar, in his Closing Remarks, highlighted various concerns in the maritime sector that should be focused on. The meeting was held hybrid in both an online and physical setting.
We will suggest a course of action to support Malaysia’s bunkering industry based on feedback and input from the Technical and Steering Committee Meetings. This meeting was also chaired by Cdr Ang Chin Hup as Project Leader and team members Encik Ahmad Puteh, Mazlinawati Abdul Majid, Nurul Atiqah Rosnan, Nurfatin Wahida Puspa, Muhamad Dom Din and Norlina Mohammad Shah.
