MIMA received a courtesy visit from His Excellency Rashed Mohammad Al-Saleh, Ambassador of Kuwait, alongside Mr. Jonathan Chai, the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Malaysia (NCCIM) representative on 11 January 2024 at MIMA HLX.
H.E. Rashed and Mr. Jonathan were warmly received by the MIMA delegation led by YBhg. Dato’ Mohamed Suffian bin Awang, MIMA Chairman.
The key representatives from MIMA that attended included Puan Nurul Adlina, Director of Administration and Finance (DOAF), Ms. Sumathy Permal, Senior Fellow and Centre Head of the Centre for Security and Diplomacy (MSD), Ms. Cheryl, Fellow and Centre Head of the Centre for Straits of Malacca (SOM), and Ms. Juwita Kumala Robin and Mr. Muhammad Azlan Mohamad Azhar from the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU).
The courtesy visit discussed the potential maritime collaboration between Kuwait and MIMA.
The visit signifies a crucial step in exploring opportunities for cooperation in the context of maritime economy and strategic collaboration between Kuwait and MIMA.
