The Maritime Strategic Association of Malaysia (MASTRA), led by First Admiral Dato’ (Dr.) Ir. Haji Ahmad Murad bin Haji Omar (R), President of MASTRA, paid a courtesy visit to Dato’ Mohamed Suffian Awang, Chairman of MIMA, on 24 February 2025 at MIMA’s HLX Office. The MASTRA delegation also included Tuan Haji Mohd Mazlan bin Abdul Manaf, Deputy President, Tuan Haji Abdul Razak bin Ismail, Honorary Secretary and Encik Mohamad Bakar bin Ismail, Secretariat Officer.
During the meeting, Dato’ Mohamed Suffian Awang was joined by key representatives from all MIMA research centres, the Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), the Publications and Resource Centre Unit (PRCU), and the administration team.
The discussion focused on potential collaboration between MIMA and MASTRA, particularly in areas of policy development and industry engagement. Both parties explored avenues for knowledge exchange, joint research initiatives, and strategic partnerships to enhance Malaysia’s maritime sector.
