Blue Economy is crucial to surge advancements and sustainability in the potential of our ocean resources and related emerging sectors. The Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) and various stakeholders took the initiative to collaborate on a position paper titled ‘Blue Economy: Unlocking the Value of the Ocean’. This position paper aims to deliver a constructive network for developing a sustainable, lucrative, inclusive, and future-proofed economy for Malaysia’s marine and maritime sectors.
MIMA had the pleasure to be directly involved in the preparation of this national paper through the involvement of Ms. Cheryl Rita Kaur, Research Fellow and Head of the Centre for Straits of Malacca.
