The three littoral states of the Straits of Malacca and Singapore (SOMS) – Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore have been working together with the user states, including China, on the safety of navigation and marine environmental protection in the SOMS. Recent collaboration included two joint workshops conducted in 2018 and 2019, respectively, in Guangzhou, China – focusing on “Oil Spill Risk Assessment and Monitoring” and “Smart Maritime Management and Services”.

Following to the successful conduct of the two previous forums, this programme was proposed to the 12^th Cooperation Forum meeting held in October 2019 in Indonesia, for the implementation of the 2^nd workshop on “Smart Maritime Management and Services” for the sharing of information, ideas and best practices.

This webinar will focus on the application of the latest smart maritime management technology and technics in the real-world scenarios, and how they can meet the ever-evolving international shipping regulations and technological development in the industry.
