19 Sept 2023: Courtesy call visit by RADM (Ret.) Yves Postec, Maritime Security Coordinator from the EU’s ESIWA (Enhancing Security In and With Asia) project. The meeting provided an opportunity for MIMA to hear more about ESIWA and to discuss possibilities for cooperation under the ESIWA project.
RADM (Ret.) Yves Postec was accompanied by Mr. Timo Goosmann, Deputy Head of Delegation, EU Delegation to Malaysia, Colonel Sylvain Louvet, Military Adviser from the EU Delegation to Indonesia and Brunei and Delegation to ASEAN, as well as Ms. Virpi Kukkasniemi-Leino, Political Officer, EU Delegation to Malaysia.
The delegates were welcomed by Ms. Sumathy Permal, Senior Fellow of the Centre for Maritime Security and Diplomacy (MSD) of MIMA, alongside Ms. Jeslyn Tan and Mr. Hasif Halim, MSD Researchers.
