Exchanging Experiences on Marine Environmental Planning and Management

The TIO delegation’s visit was hosted by MIMA’s Centre for Coastal and Marine Environment to discuss experiences on marine environmental policy and management, marine protected areas and networks, marine spatial planning, and natural resources protection.

Emphasis was also placed on the development of sustainable blue economy, as well as new projects at regional and national levels.

Discussions focused on policy and management approaches in marine management

The meeting benefited from an exploration of areas of common interests between the two parties and further collaborations will be considered through suitable means e.g., joint publications, research initiatives, forums, as well as professional exchanges on related areas.
