MIMA Distinguished Fellow Talk Series aims to provide a sharing session of our Distinguished Fellow with the participants on maritime-related subjects. Therefore, as the continuation of the event, we are pleased to inform that the Centre for Coastal and Marine Environment (CMER) will be organising the next talk by YBhg. Professor Dato’ Dr Nor Aieni binti Haji Mokhtar.
The talk will provide an insight into maritime education and training conducted in the local university. It will also discuss the issues, challenges and opportunities that arise from the traditional educational landscape, as well as some recommendations for educators and students to adapt to and thrive in the maritime education industry.
This event aims to:
To understand maritime education as an interdisciplinary academic field; and
To provide an overview of the national maritime education system in Malaysia.
