Overview

This workshop is intended as an initial preparation aimed at setting a clear direction in the planning of a comprehensive Thirteenth Malaysia Plan (13MP) in accordance with current needs and emerging challenges, which is also based on regional and international developments on key aspects. These include understanding of the blue economy concept, climate change, marine/maritime governance, and green growth, in addition to relevance to the respective Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The workshop will set the path for a systematic and coordinated approach, through consultation at the Ministry of Economy level in driving forward actions and identifying priorities to be included in the 13MP.
