First Admiral Dato’ Chin Yoon received a delegation from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia headed by Mr. Chichia Chen, Director of the Counselor Division who was accompanied by Richard Lai and Philips Chen.

The courtesy call was to explore cooperation opportunities between MIMA and think tanks as well as research organizations in Taiwan. MIMA is open to research based exchanges on maritime issues in particular on maritime economic and marine environment as well to provide ideas on regional strategic issue. The delegation also expressed keenness to work with MIMA on a Track-Two setting to strengthen cooperation on capacity building for law enforcement in the maritime domain.
