JAPAN–MALAYSIA MARITIME COOPERATION: SHAPING SECURITY COOPERATION IN THE INDO-PACIFIC

Maritime Institute of Malaysia and the Japan Institute of International Affairs will be co-hosting the second Track-two Workshop on Japan-Malaysia Maritime Cooperation on 16th November 2017 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This workshop comprising three sessions will have the following themes

                 Session 1: Regional Security Scan: Adapting to New Trends in the Contemporary International Order
                 Session 2: Maritime Consultation Initiative
                 Session 3: Ensuring Rule of Law to Preserve a Safe and Secure Global Commons.

 

The workshop will provide the platform for thinkers and policy-makers especially those from Japan, Malaysia, and ASEAN to engage with each other in areas such as research and dialogues on issues impacting them in the region as well as explore opportunities to establish and enhance cooperation on maritime related matters.
